Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Wine Estate

In an ideal growing area on the hills of Montalcino is this wine estate specialising in Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wines. The wine cellar, a modern and well-equipped facility created inside a 14th-century rural building, can produce up to 30,000 bottles of excellent wines. In contrast, the main building could be easily converted into an accommodation business.

Services and facilities are available in the nearby towns of Buonconvento and Montalcino, both less than 10 minutes away by car. The property’s location, in the hills of Valdorcia, makes it also very easy to visit most of the landmark towns and cities of Tuscany such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Volterra and Florence.

The wine cellar (560 sqm – 6025 sqft, ) is organized into two separate areas. The first one is located inside the main farmhouse dating back to the 14th century and includes the winemaking areas and the barrique rooms for ageing. The second section is built underground, with access from the lower terrace of the property and includes a spacious storage area for the finished products and the bottling line with a bathroom and changing room for the staff.
Leaned against the wine cellar, on the western side of the building, is a convenient shed (78 sqm – 839 sqft) currently used to shelter vehicles and tools.

The owner’s house has a surface area of 332 sqm – 3,572 sqm with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms on two floors and is located again inside the old farmhouse, next to the cellar and connected directly to it. On the lower floor are the entrance room (shared with the cellar), a spacious living room with a fireplace, the dining area with an open-plan kitchen and a bedroom with its own bathroom (also accessible independently from outside). The staircase in the entrance leads to the upper floor, where there is a spacious sitting room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

In front of the main building is the guesthouse with a surface area of 146 sqm – 1,571 sqft with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that could be rented out either as a single unit or as two smaller apartments:
