Modest from the outside, it contains valuable frescoes illustrating the life of Christ, from the Annunciation to the Noli me tangere. The artwork suffered damage when plaster was applied during the 17th-century plague, but much of it was uncovered during restoration in the 1930s.

Within it lies a hedge maze with three small shrines housing statues of the Virgin and Child, Christ the Saviour, and a Pope.
